Introduction to World History - In Search of Ancient Communities
Remember that this WebQuest has been created by our text book. You should use the resources of McDougal Littel and Classzone first. Here is the link to Classzone.
Your Task:
The United States Congress has just approved funding for a new Museum of Ancient Civilizations. You and your classmates have been hired as curators, or managers. You will curate exhibits that will showcase four of history's most mysterious monuments and settlements:
Stonehenge in England Catal Huyuk in Turkey Lascaux Cave in France Rapa Nui (Easter Island) in the Pacific Ocean. Each exhibit will teach the public about one of the archaeological sites, what scientists have found there, and what questions and mysteries still remain. You will work individually to learn about one of these four sites. Then everyone who has studied the same site will create an exhibit about that place. The exhibit will be a trifold that is supplied and purchased by Mrs. Caven. Remember, even though you will present this as a group and create the trifold as a group, you will receive an INDIVIDUAL grade for the work that only you have done.
(Be sure that you have used the sites put together by McDougal Littel. They have compiled a fabulous list. Go to "Class Zone" / Activity Center / WebQuests / Introdction to World History / Process and Resources)
